SUMMARY:12k's for the Holidays
DESCRIPTION:The 12k’s for the Holidays Charity Run is virtual this year and a great way to start the holiday season!! The 12k run\, 5k run and 5k walk traditionally winds through the beautiful historic Fondren neighborhood in Jackson\, Mississippi. However\, this year\, the race is virtual. Do your mileage anytime during the month of November and post your time onto Race Roster. If the city will allow it\, Good Sam will host “Clock Day” on Saturday\, November 21st from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Cedars/Fondren. MS Race Timing will be there to help you clock your time. \nWe’ve got AMAZING swag this year. Participants have the option to receive a glow-in-the-dark “Baby\, it’s COVID outside!” 2020 themed T-shirt\, a matching face mask\, as well as a finisher medal. DESCRIPTION:July 2020 Volunteer Saturday!\nGood Samaritan Center’s Volunteer Saturday is the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon. We have a variety of activities available for ages 8 and up. All children ages 8-12 must be accompanied by a parent. Minors 12 and up must be accompanied by a chaperone. Groups welcome. If your group has over 5 members\, please call us at 601-355-6276 and let us know so that we may plan accommodations accordingly. \nOrganize a group of friends because we’ve got a lot of work to do! Projects include sorting donations\, stocking and cleaning our food pantry\, sorting our linens\, straightening our clothing closet\, minor building renovations and more! \n  \n
