A fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Center, 12k's for the Holidays Charity Run is a great way to start the holiday season. The 12k run, 5k run and 5k walk traditionally winds through the beautiful historic Cedars of Fondren neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Good Samaritan Center’s Volunteer Saturday is the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon. We have a variety of activities available for ages 8 and up. All children ages 8-12 must be accompanied by a parent. Minors 12 and up must be accompanied by a chaperone. Groups welcome. After multiple attempts and having to reschedule because of inclement weather, The 2022 Golf Ball drop will be held at Midtown Depot Tuesday, March 28th at 6pm (weather allowing:) Come join us for pizza and beer as we celebrate! As soon as we drop these balls, we will start selling for the 2023 drop to be held at the Mississippi Championship Balloonfest in Canton on Saturday July 1st.

Scheduled for the Saturday before Easter, Kick up the Dust is our trail run or walk fundraising race, featuring 4K, 8K, and 14K distances through Mississippi College’s Choctaw Trails and Buddy Butts Park! It's a perfect race for beginners and experienced trail runners a like. Macked out dustpans are the prizes for first places in each race (male and female), every runner gets a great tshirt, and post race party includes a great breakfast.
