Good Samaritan Center’s Volunteer Saturday is the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon. We have a variety of activities available for ages 8 and up. All children ages 8-12 must be accompanied by a parent. Minors 12 and up must be accompanied by a chaperone. Groups welcome. Balloon Chase 2021 – walk/run & bike ride

A non-competitive hot air balloon chasing great time, brought to you by Canton Parks & Recreation, the Mid-Mississippi Balloon Association and The Good Samaritan Center. All participants will receive an awesome “Balloon Chase” t-shirt, race medal, a VIP dinner voucher, and the opportunity to run/walk/bike in the company of magnificent hot air balloons! You have your choice of doing a 10 mile or 30 mile bike ride in the morning with hot air balloons or a 4 mile or 2 mile run in the evening with hot air balloons, OR do both! Golf Ball Drop 2021 – $5,000 CASH PRIZE!

Golf Ball Drop is a raffle fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Center. But how does it work? First, you have to buy a Golf Ball Drop ticket claiming your ball. (all balls will be numbered from 1 to 1,000). Each ticket costs $20. Then during the Canton Balloon Fest on Saturday, July 3rd, all the balls will be taken up in the air, and dropped onto the festival field. ALL-IN SORT DAY

The Good Samaritan Center needs YOUR help to process our donations backlog! Since the pandemic began, we've had both an influx of donations and a shortage of volunteers to help us sort through them. Today we hope to get through our massive clothing donations pile during our All-In Sort Day! There will be music, drinks, and FREE LUNCH!
