Come out to support Good Sam's Laurel location on Monday, June 26th from 1-9pm at Raising Cane's on Hwy 15 in Laurel. Mention this fundraiser and Raising Cane's will donate 15% of sales to The Good Samaritan Center.

The Center’s mission is to assist families and individuals in emergency crisis situations. Our Laurel Soup Kitchen is the only community kitchen in Jones County, so you can imagine we stay pretty busy! The Kitchen serves nutritious lunch time meals Monday through Friday. To give you an idea on how many people are in need, last year we served over 80,000 meals!

Our Community Food Pantry, gives out a week’s worth of groceries to families struggling with food insecurity in our area. Last year, we assisted almost 1,000 families with over 30,000 meals. In addition, our case manager assisted these struggling families with over $33,500 worth of free clothing shopping at our resale store NUTS (Neat Used Things for Sale) last year.

Thank you for your help to battle hunger in our community and your support of our work at The Good Samaritan Center.
